چکیده
This paper presents the development of a two-dimensional hydrodynamic sediment transport model using finite volume method based on collocated unstructured hybrid-mesh system consisting triangular and quadrilateral cells. The is single-phase nonequilibrium sediment-transport for nonuniform noncohesive sediments in unsteady turbulent flows that considers multiple processes such as deposition, erosion, transport, bed sorting. features hybrid mesh easy generation complex domains. To avoid interpolation from vertices conventional models, this adopted second-order accurate edge-gradient evaluation to consider irregularities Taylor’s series expansion. In addition, multipoint momentum corrections were integrated possible nonphysical oscillations during wetting-and-drying process, common problems, ensure both numerical stability accuracy. developed was validated by benchmark degradation case erosion process with armoring effects, aggradation deposition naturally meandering river long-term processes. Finally, successfully applied simulate reservoir significantly affected typhoon events.

Prediction of Sediment Transport Capacity in Rivers Using Quasi Two-Dimensional Mathematical Model
Sediment rating curve is an essential factor for many river engineering subjects and computations such as dredging, design of storage dams, river intakes design and sand mining management. Although, this curve is established using simultaneous measurement of flow and sediment transport discharges, however, due to lack of reliable data during flood events, it has limited reliability in flood con...
متن کاملDevelopment of a Computer Model for the Prediction of Littoral Sediment Transport Rate
In this paper, longshore sediment transport in littoral zones is investigated. For investigation of sediment transport in the nearshore zone, the effects of waves, currents and topographical conditions of coast are considered. Linear wave theory was used for the investigation of the wave behaviour. Governing equations of littoral current are continuity and momentum ones. For calculating concent...

متن کاملA New Two Dimensional Model for Pollutant Transport in Ajichai River
Accurate prediction of pollution control and environmental protection need a good understanding of pollutant dynamics. Numerical model techniques are important apparatus in this research area. So a 2500 line FORTRAN 95 version code was conducted in which using approximate Riemann solver, couples the shallow water and pollution transport agents in two dimensions by the aid of unstructured meshes...
متن کاملDevelopment of a three-dimensional, regional, coupled wave, current, and sediment-transport model
We are developing a three-dimensional numerical model that implements algorithms for sediment transport and evolution of bottom morphology in the coastal-circulation model Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS v3.0), and provides a two-way link between ROMS and the wave model Simulating Waves in the Nearshore (SWAN) via the ModelCoupling Toolkit. The coupled model is applicable for fluvial, estu...
